First Nations Cree Reservation bead work belt, Canada, circa 1917. A ground of white beads with seven multicolored flowers decorating the band. Signed and dated on verso “Sam Tipatay Cree Band Cowessess Reserve 1917.” Measure: Length 32 1/2 inches, width 3 1/4 inches.
Note: The Cowessess Tribe, which is part Cree, live in central Saskatchewan, Canada.
