Set of Six Vintage/Antique Italian Faience Verbanum Stone Plates

This whimsical set of six landscape decorated plates in the Art Deco style were created by Verbanum Stone, Laveno Societa Ceramica, Laveno, Italy. They were likely made in the 1930s, with each plate featuring a solitary figure engaged in different pursuits. Including one each: a woman watching a boat pass, a man playing violin, a man sitting under a tree with books, and three plates with a man reading under a tree. All stamped Made in Italy/Verbanum Stone Laveno; S.122, impressed mark “6/8/SE/2.7; Diameter: 9 1/2 inches.
